  • New Years Day "W" Road Race: Chattanooga Track Club

March 

  • Rock Creek River Gorge Trail Run: 10.2 mile trail run through Prentice Cooper State Forest, this race, run since 2001 is one of the most popular trail races in Chattanooga. 
  •  Shamrock City: Rock City goes Irish every year in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Event includes live Celtic music, Irish food and beer, jig lessons,dance performances, costumed characters and more! 
  • Home Builders Association of Greater Chattaooga Tri State Home Show: Held at the Convention and Trade Center, this is one of the largest gathering of the tri-state's vendros, service industry representative and builders. 
  • Road to Nightfall: 30 local bands will compete for the chance to headline at the popular Friday night concert series, Nightfall. Locations change for the five night competition. Great way to see Chattanooga local bands. 

 


April 

  • Chattanooga Market Opens: Local Sunday farmer's market features local produce, artist and craft products, food trucks and live local music. Open Sunday 11-4 the weekend after Easter through Thanksgiving. 
  • Chattanooga Lookouts season begins
  • Chattanooga Film Festival   Local film festival featuring local and national  independent films, meet and greets with producers and directors and parties.  
  • Night Shift (6 hours of TNT): Night time mountain bike race  through gorgeous trails in Enterprise Park. Gorgeous and a lot of fun. 
  • Scenic City Trail 1/2 and Full Marathon: Sponsored by Rock Creek Outfitters and held on Racoon Mountain's mountain bike trails, this is one of the southeast's largest trail races. 
  • Chickamauga Chase: One of the  most popular road races in the Chattanooga area, run in the Chickamauga Battlefield since 1968.  The offerings are a 15k and 5k. 
  •  4 Bridges Arts Festival:  One of the largest arts festivals in the south, this juried art festival is held at the First Tennessee Pavilion and draws thousands. 
  • Jazzanooga :  Created in 2011 as a citywide celebration of the history of Chattanooga's jazz community as well as the appreciation of jazz in our American culture.

May

  •  Chattanooga Nightfall Concert Series:  Fridays 7:30-10 pm. May-Labor Day Millers Plaza featuring local opening bands and national headliners at a family friendly weekly block party all summer long. Food and beverage trucks offer concessions. 
  • Rock City Summer Music Weekends: Weekends May-Labor Day local musicians perform at Rock City, free with admission
  • Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional  Road & Time Trial National Championships: Held May 23-26, this professional road race features professional cycling teams to Chattanooga for a very exciting weekend of racing. 
  • Chattanooga Chase: Chattanooga's oldest road race! 8k and 1 mile runs, held Memorial Day weekend since 1968. 
  • Black Jacket Symphony: Classical music meets classic rock. Formed in Birmingham, AL the "symphony of our generation" plays classic rock albums from beginning to end in a symphony format. Hugely popular! 
  • Mary Poppins: Closed Door Entertainment presents one of the most cherished and wonderful musicals of all time! 

 

 

June 

  • Riverbend Music Festival: 8 night  music festival held on the Chattanooga Riverfront on the banks of the Tennessee River. Featuring 100 music acts on four stages, this festival draws crowds of 20,000 each night.

July 

  • Pops on the River : Chattanooga Symphony performs patrotic concert in Coolidge Park followed by a gorgeous display of fireworks. Held annually on July 3rd 
  • Movies in the Park  :  Three family friendly movies shown in Coolidge Park. Bring a blanket and enjoy the views of the Tennessee River and a free show. 
  • Racoon Mountain Super D and Endurance TT : Raccoon Mountain trail is known around the country as some of the best trails in the southeast. SORBA and Lynskey bikes sponsor this two day event. 

 

 


August 

  • Riverfront Nights Concert Series: Held August through September on the banks of the Tennessee River, this free Saturday night concert event features national and local bands, food trucks and beverage vendors. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and enjoy the view. 
  • Chattanooga Mud Run: Get dirty in one of Chattanooga's most fun adventure races. Teams compete, often in costume over obstacles at the Chickamauga Creek Greenway Farm. 

 

 


September 

  • Pops in the Park: held yearly in the Chickamauga Battlefield, in Chickamauga Georgia just 15 minutes from downtown Chattanooga to celebrate the Civil War battles fought in the area. 
  • Ironman Chattanooga: Premiering in 2014, this is the ulitmate way to see Chattanooga. The triathelon course has proven to be not only scenic, but fast and with the best support in the country (via a 2014 participant)

 

 


October 

  • Three Sisters Music Festival : Fletcher Bright, world class fiddler, puts on one of the best bluegrass music festivals in Tennessee. Free and very fun, this festival has featured Keller Williams, Yonder Mountain String Band and Sam Bush in past years. 
  • Lula Lake Land Trust 5 Points 50: Single track road race organized by SORBA and taking place on many super secret trails. This is the sweet spot for riding. Part of the Lynskey series of races. 
  • 7 Bridges Marathon: Beautiful, challenging course which crosses the Tennessee River via its famous bridges. 
  • RiverRocks: Comprising of numerous events including the marathon, 5 points 50, SUP paddle board race and more, RiverRocks adds  entertainment, demos of climbing, mountain biking and more.  Held all four weekends in October. 

 

 


November 

  • Head of the Hooch: One of the largest rowing regattas in the United States. Held downtown on the Tennessee River and featuring rowers on the high school, collegiate and masters divisions across the world. 
  • Keller Williams Bandslam: A great night of music and a chance to give back to the community. Keller Williams fundraiser held at Sratton Hall, November 15th featuring three local bands, food trucks and beverages. All proceeds go directly to support Chambliss Center For Children , which provides dozens of childhood programs to the community from 24 hour childcare to after school tutoring. 
  • Holiday Starlight Parade and Lighted Boat Parade: A favorite of the Chattanooga holiday season, the hometown parade includes local marching bands, civic clubs and of course, Santa. The lighted boat parade is one of the most beautiful nightime events in Chattanooga.
